JIM APPOINTED AS INSTRUCTOR/ASSESSOR

It is more good news from DART Advanced Rider Training this week, as Colin welcomes a new member to the team.

Colin didn’t waste any time getting on with his new role as a British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) Regional Instructor and in early July, appointed Jim Yair as an additional BMF Instructor/Assessor.

On announcing the appointment, Colin said: “I’m delighted that Jim has been successful in being appointed a Blue Riband Instructor/Assessor.  Jim is no stranger to the role. A former police motorcyclist, he is also a current RoSPA and former IAM examiner. In his new role Jim will concentrate on carrying out Assessments of Blue Riband candidates trained at DART. ”

COLIN APPOINTED AS CHIEF INSTRUCTOR (SCOTLAND SOUTH)

June was a busy month for DART Advanced Rider Training and we are pleased to report that Colin Blackley, has gained further accreditations and gained himself a new role too.

FIRST STOP: SHREWSBURY

Earlier in June, Colin travelled down to Shrewsbury to complete the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme (ERS) Instructor Training.  The training took place at the DVSA Approved Training Centre, Fast Trak Training, under the guidance of Director, Dave Palmer and Instructor Assessor, Jeff Morris.

Colin said: It was a fairly involved week in Shrewsbury, but the effort was worth it and I achieved an Accredited Instructor pass. A big thank you to Dave and Jeff from Fast TrakTraining for guiding me through the process.”

Colin wasn’t home for long before he had to head south again.

NEXT STOP: WILTSHIRE

Later in June Colin travelled 200 miles south to Amesbury in Wiltshire to be assessed by the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF), Blue Riband Training Scheme Administrator, Tony Smykowski.

It was another successful trip for Colin who was appointed as the Chief Instructor for No 1 Region (Scotland South) by BMF.

Speaking afterwards Colin said: “After Tony put me through my paces he signed me off as the Chief Instructor No 1 Region (Scotland South).  This is great news for me and for DART Advanced Rider Training.
